Getting started with MOOps?
MOOps is an easy program, so some explanation is for most users superfluous.
But do you still encounter problems look on this page for some answers.
Start
It is easy when MOOps is already available, not yet downloaded, do it now.
Download the program!
Follow the instructions on the downloadpage. Start MOOps by clicking the
MOOps-icon. Place a shortcut onto your desktop.

The first time
Registration
Starting MOOps for the first time you will come across a registry form. We would
like you to fill in, it is automatically send back to us.
First session
Now you enter the Sessions menu. Fill in by account your login character,
your password and the address and port of the MOO- or MUD-server. Fill in
by General a description of your world and a name for the page caption and
save your settings.
Session options
It is possible to establish more settings in session-menu, even create a theme that fits
your MOO or MUD.
If you are ready, save your settings and click OK. The sessionlist is presented to you. Select
your world and click OK, If everything is correctly set you will be connected
with the MOO or MUD.
More worlds
For each MOO or MUD you can create a own session.
Use Sesssions >> new session or Sessionlist >> new to create more sessions.
Each Session (world) gets it own tab in the worldbar.
It is possible to login in multiple worlds at once. You can switch between
them with F6 or click on the tabs.
Connected and then ...
In most MOOs and MUDs you can talk bij typing say or " followed by some text.
Using the editor in MOOps
Opening the Editor
It is possible to open an editwindow with /editcommand <name>.
Which edit commands MOOps supports is stated in the help system. Open it with
/help editor.
Syntaxhighlighting
The built-in editor has syntax-highlighting,
what an enormous help is by making verbs and descriptions of objects.
You can toggle it on/of in the editormenu.
Multiple editor windows
Each world can have multiple open edit windows.
Whenever open you can switch between them by pressing F5.
You can also find the editwindows in the main menubar >> windows
>> underneath the name of the world. Don't forget to save your
work and close the window.

More possibilities in MOOps
Helpsystem
Use the built-in helpsystem for more information about the program. Click
/help in the statusscreen to start the help or type /help in the inputbar
to start the help-system.
Logging
You can simply log your sessions in MOOps. You can toggle logging on or of by using the button
beneath the inputbar or the mainmenu. You also can adjust the settings in the sessions-menu.
You can load your log with;
/loadlog 'Logs\<name world>\<year-month-day>'
but using notepad is much easier at the moment.
Menubars
The activity and menubars of MOOps can be put anywhere on the screen, if
you like it.
Selective History
Type a word/character in the inputbar and push the upbutton and you can
find all text with the same word/character right away.
Themes
It is possible with the Themes part of MOOps to give all your sessions a
personal touch. More information you can find on the themes page of this
site, were you can also find information about adjusting the settings of
fonts and colors.
