Introduction
At last the first page of AtLANtic section of Beryllium Engineering is Online.
On these pages you will find all information about the development,
online support and features of the server suite AtLANtic.
At the moment the website is still undergoing construction, so not all information will be available.
The AtLANtic project
Multiplatform development environment
The server suite AtLANtic is developed to work with different platforms.
On the moment AtLAntic supports the following platforms: Windows (95/98/NT/2000) and Linux.
Atlantic will make it possible (as in Java) to develop programs, which will be running completely independent
from the operating system.
This is not new, but contrary to other systems AtLANtic will have special features, that favors the choice for using AtLANtic.
A lot of care is taken to security, stability and uptime. This will make AtLANtic
very suited to use for multi-user internet applications, in which a high reliability is acquired.
Example applications in which AtLANtic can be used are webservers with session control, MOO/MUD-servers or Mailservers.
Furthermore AtLANtic can be used as advanced scripting environment in for example a MOO-client like MOOps.
In the future we will develop a Moops version which will be running completely in AtLANtic.
